"St.Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire and St.Petersburg Association for International Cooperation worked out the co-project of international master-classes, which will take place in St. Petersburg in summer 2004. The brilliant musicians - alumni of St.Petersburg & Moscow Conservatoires, famous in the whole world for their richest traditions of Russian music culture, teaching and performing, responded to our invitation to take part in this project. Master-classes 2004 will be open with the concert by the greatest violoncello-player Natalia Gutman.

The main idea and aim of these master-classes is to let the students, independently of their age and professionalism, a dive into creative atmosphere, to refine the technical craftsmanship, to absorb the traditions of the Russian performing school, and also to show their talants on the famous stage of the Glasunov Concert Hall, which remembers such a brilliant musicians as N. Rimsky-Korsakov, A. Glasunov, S. Prokofiev, D. Shostakovich, Y. Heifits, S. Rihter, G. Vishnevskaya, M. Rostropovich etc.

It's also very important that the master-classes takes place in the cultural capital of Russia, in a city famous in the whole world for it`s architectural ensembles, monuments, palaces, bridges, theatres, museums and "white nights". You can enjoy all these things, coming to our master-classes. I`m sure this atmosphere will enrich you with new emotions, impressions, knowledge, necessary for the development of each and one's creative individuality."
