Round Table on Effective methods of social inclusion of talented people with special needs through art and culture and Study visit of Inuti Foundation’srepresentetives to St. Petersburg

In the frameworks of the project "Design Together" Swedish delegation which include Inuti Foundation’s artists and artistic  leader  were visiting St. Petersburg during 4-7 October.  The Foundation works with artistically talented individuals with intellectual disabilities and individuals within the autism spectrum. INUTI looks upon art as a means of communication and tries to guide and help each individual to develop their personal style and proficiency, giving them opportunity to express themselves in different ways.
5  October participants of the delegation visited organization which are engaged in social inclusion of people with special needs here in St. Petersburg:  NGO “Perspectives”, Centre “Anton is right here”, “Upsala-Circus” project and charity space of AdVita Foundation “It is easy to help”.
6 October delegation participated in a Round Table on Effective methods of social inclusion of talented people with special needs through art and culture. In the frameworks of the Round Table were presented the best practices of the Swedish Foundation INUTI, Russian organizations specialized on the integration of people with special needs through creative work also reports on behalf of the the Committee on Labour and Employment and the Committee on Social Policy of St. Petersburg were presented (presentations are available for download here:drive.google.com/open ).
7  October was held partner meeting, representatives of the Norden Association, Bureau ArtTerra  and INUTI Fundation discussed prospects of the project development.
In November  the Russian delegation will travel to Stockholm for return study visit.
