Exhibition in St. Petersburg

The exhibition “Behind the Myths” was unveiled in the children’s center in the Russian Ethnographical Museum on 27 October 2016.

Young artists from Russia (Saint Petersburg), Finland and Estonia and their pedagogues and curators proudly presented their artworks based on epics and legends of their countries.

Thanks to joint efforts of the artists and their pedagogues and coordinating effort of the Russian art curators Art Terra and Norden Association an interactive exhibition was presented to the public, where visiting children and adults could communicate with some of the art objects by touching them, playing quizzes and learning more about illustrated legends and fairytales.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by the Consul General of Estonia in Saint Petersburg Jaanus Kirikmäe and a representative of the Consulate General of Finland  Kirsi Muurama. The welcome speech was made by Darya Akhutina, Senior Adviser of the Council of Baltic Sea States.

When the official  part of the event was over, informal communications continued during a reception.

The Exhibition was available for visiting in St. Petersburg from 27 October to 13 November 2016
